I bought a bunch of the new summer mattes whilst I was working at Boots, I mean 3 for 2 and 12.5% off, how could I resist? :p But I should've, I don't like the matte effect of these; they're like putty or rubber. So weird!
Day 7 of the October Nail Challenge, and the prompt is Free Hand. I thought I'd incorporate these with October's Cancer Awareness! Sorry about the delay in posting, I've been super busy these last couple of days and not had time to type up the post!
I placed my first Forever 21 order the other week, I'd found a rare 10% off code and really wanted some quirky pj's. I then perused the website and found a bunch of accessories that I wanted to try and placed an order!
Last week I signed up to become a Beauty Blogger for Product Testing UK, and I was sent the new Zoella Beauty Bag to review, which I picked up from the Post Office yesterday morning (it was too big to fit through the letterbox when we were out!)
As most of you will probably know, I am obsessed with Barry M polishes and therefore own most of them. When the Spring Gelly's came out, I just had to have them and they were adorable pastels and very suitable for spring.
Shi...p, I've been ill for the last week and unable to paint my nails, as I couldn't deal with the polish fumes :(. I've finally managed to do them, albeit wearing a face mask with both my windows wide open (yay for no rain today!). So I'm a couple days late posting my nails for my nail challenge, sorry!
I personally like getting to know the people behind their blogs, so once a month for the next five months, i'll be posting 20 facts about myself for anyone that's like me. I'd post them all together, but personally, if I was the reader, I'd get bored reading 100 facts about someone all at once.
I managed to snag one of the limited edition sets of Wizard of Oz wax tarts, and i'm really glad I did! The majority of them aren't scents that I would personally choose, but i'm glad that the pack took me out of my comfort zone-they all smell really good!
So a couple of months ago, Born Pretty Store contacted me to review a few of their products and since I've been totally absent from blogging and really busy with other things, I never seemed to get round to reviewing (which is really bad, I know). But I'm back to blogging and I'm contactable again for things. Including my blog sale, which I totally dropped the ball on. It has/will be updated soon too.
Double post today, I've spent the last couple of hours doing these nails ready for the Castle premiere tonight! I'm a total fangirl, and wanted to get these done. Took me a while cause I kept getting ill :(, but hey ho they're done now!
Does anyone else watch Castle? I mean, last seasons finale D:, I need to know why they did that to us again.
Unfortunately, Sonnlight Star was an exclusive to an online Finland store as it was designed specially by a Finish blogger. However, if you'd like it, maybe you could contact Dolly via her contact form on her website and ask nicely if she has any available. :)
It's been a while since all the Share the Love posts went crazy and today, i'm sharing the love with some fellow UK bloggers and others. These are some of my fave manis from them from this week! :), I feel like they need more recognition than they get!
Hey Luverlies! Bikini is a bluey-purple creme, it was one of the limited editions available from Boots this summer and to be totally honest, I don't like it. Personally, I didn't like the colour and I didn't find it be very unique.
This is my first non-nail related post. I'm branching out. Let's see how it goes :) - I don't think many people actually read my posts anyway, lol.
This is only the second beauty box i've received, I ordered this from YouBeauty as I saw on a Facebook group that you could get a free Birthday box during September, and I thought it would be a good way of seeing what type of things the box came with and if it would be good value for money.
This design was inspired by an ECG (ElectroCardioGram) heart rate monitor screen, which records the heart's electrical activity and the BHF (British Heart Foundation) logo. I hadn't seen the certificates before hand (I did my nails on the Friday and finished my course on the Saturday), but look, they match the design in the corner! :)
Oh, and I changed my nail shape for the first time in 21 years. I thought I'd hate it, but I actually like them more and I find they look neater :).
I absolutely love Bikini Bottom and i'm pretty sure I need to buy a backup, stat! I've used this polish many times since I received it, I love both the coral colour and the gold shimmer; I actually have it on my tootsies atm ;). I used it as my holiday polish and it stayed on nicely for most of the week I was in Tenerife!
I started with a base of Serendipity as I thought it would go well with PP and it did! It took a bit of time to smooth out streaks as it was a little more on the thick side due to the holographic pigment included to give a subtle holographic finish to the polish.
First off, let me start by saying; I could NOT get this polish to photograph properly :( It is actually darker than photos shower and more teal-y than the mint colour it shows to be in the following photos.
So I actually used this polish the other month, but I was so busy with work that I never got time to blog about it. As some might know, I worked at Boots at East Midlands Airport for a month and a half before it closed down; it probably wasn't work appropriate but I was only a temp and I got compliments from men and women; staff and customers.
So sorry about the 2 month long absence, I am most definitely alive, i've just been tres busy and not had time to blog and when I have, i've just been too tired to. I'll explain where i've been in my 'Summer Absence' post coming later this week ;), (I don't know why the winky face, it wasn't exactly exciting :p.)
Sound like a stickler, but I will be checking entries before alerting winners!
Last week (22nd May) was my 1 year bloggiversary! I can't believe it's gone so quickly, thanks to those of you who have stuck with me! :) The 22nd was also the last day of university for me, if you know me you'll know how much I've wanted that day to come for the last 2 years! I absolutely hated my course.
Anyway, to celebrate, I have a giveaway of UK indie polishes! :) Unfortunately, due to Royal Mail regulations, I am only able to accept entries from those who live in the UK! Giveaway at the bottom!
So I've managed to get loads done this morning, not including any studying. I'm still putting the 'pro' in procrastinator!
I saw someone share pictures of Ellagee's polishes which included dolphin glitters, and I just had to get myself some! When I was younger, I was absolutely obsessed with dolphins and made it my mission to learn everything I could, about them! :)
So, I was searching through my nail stash and found these strips that i've had for months. I'm being lazy and anti-fume so decided to try um out. I think they look pretty rad (yeah, i said rad ;p), only ended up with a few creases-so not so bad for my first attempt :D.
