Underwhelming. Berry Cosmo and Crystal Glaze

Hey Lovelies! :)
Today, my hands are modelling two of Barry M's new releases; Crystal Glaze (I think this is supposed to be what BM believes to be a flakie), and Berry Cosmo (Cosmo magazines shade).
I personally do not like either. I think they tried to release too many new polishes at once and they didn't spend enough time developing the formula of Crystal Glaze. It feels to me like they've just dumped pink ice-mylar in a bunch of bottles (which I could do myself) and I'm not keen on Berry Cosmo as it's nothing different, just a plain old aubergine type colour. However, I have a few more of Barry M's new releases and so far have tried Countess (one of their new glitter textures) and I loved that.

As I said above, I'm not a huge fan of this polish, but not because there was anything wrong with the formula. As per usual, it was a great polish from BM but just wasn't the colour for me, it is a great autumn colour for the purple lovers out there. It applied lovely, opaque in one coat, but I did my usual two for evenness. Dried pretty quickly too.

- One thin coat of Sally Hansen's Insta Grip Fast Dry Base Coat - £1.49 from B&M Bargains
- Two coats of Barry M's 'Berry Cosmo' - £2.99 from Superdrug
- One coat of Barry M's 'Crystal Glaze' - £3.99 from Superdrug
- One coat of Glisten and Glow (HK Girl) 'Fast Drying a Super Shiny Clear Topcoat' - £6.55 from Rainbow Connection

Pretty sure Barry M were trying to create their own flakie effect polish with Crystal Glaze but in my opinion, they failed. Big time. It's like they just dumped a bunch of ice mylar in and mass produced the bottles. I've done this before and I think mine turned out better. Okay, so it'd probably be nice in the summer or in that winter sun you get when it's been snowing because the glittery bits in are pretty when they hit the light but other than that I think it was a waste of money :(. It did apply nicely, but not nice enough for me to recommend. After their sequin polish fiasco earlier this year, I think this is my least favourite Barry M. It smelt more too.
