La Tour Eiffel

Hey Hunnies!
So I ordered one of the 2013 Jumbo Plates from Cheeky the day they were released and it finally arrived the other week, I have an obsession with Paris (although I've never been) and couldn't wait to try out  the European Romance plate. It was a bit disappointing though :(.

Firstly I painted my nails with Avon Speed Dry+ ASAP Pink, I'm not sure if it was because I applied two coats too quickly, but it was NOT speed dry! It did apply nicely, although a couple of nails I did need three coats for full opacity. I do like the colour though, pretty medium pink; it's a little bit lighter in person than in the images below. I bought this from Avon for £2.50 when it was on offer.

I used the new 2013, Cheeky Jumbo Plate Number 3 'European Romance' (that I got from Amazon for £5.99+£1 for shipping) for the Eiffel Tower image. It just DID NOT want to transfer correctly! :( I tried two different stampers and the image would not copy from the plate to the stamper fully! Disappointed!

For the stamp, I used Avon Speed Dry+ Rapid Black, I love it! If the images had transferred correctly, the black would've actually stayed black instead of other blacks i've tried to stamp with that transfer as a kind of charcoal/dark grey. It's the right consistency for stamping too, just thick enough. I also bought this from Avon when it was on offer (they're supposed to be £6).

Below is how it stamped, I had to actually draw a bit on with the Barry M Black Nail Art Pen. So some of the wobbliness is what I drew and some is what the annoying stamp did.

 Close up of thumb:

I actually used Avon Nail Experts Liquid Freeze spray before stamping my nails, just to make sure they're completely dry first. This was £3.00 from Avon, I actually own about 5 bottles of this, comes in handy :).

Also, Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat that I got from eBay for about £7.00. It's getting towards the bottom of the bottle so it's getting a bit thick and gloopy (hence the bubbles on my nails). Need to thin it out.
